Frequently Asked Questions
If I have a current coaching award will this still be recognised now the UKCC has been introduced?
Yes, it will be recognised and will remain valid until the end of 2010. There will be opportunities in September 2007 to upgrade your present award to the UKCC qualification.
Do I have to have attained the previous level award before I can progress to a higher level?
You may enter a higher level without completing the previous level as long as you meet the entry criteria of the new qualifications.
If I attend the course delivery but cannot attend the assessment day, can I do the assessment at a later date?
This may not be possible because if all courses are full there will not be any additional spaces available for your assessment to take place in your area. However, England Netball could offer you an assessment in any part of the county depending on availability.
I can attend the assessment day but I only want to do my assessment and leave?
This will not be possible because candidates are requested to participant in the whole day ‘as players’ for everyone to take their assessment. If you are unable to actively take part you are requested to bring another person to physically take your place.
My employer or club wants to pay part/all of my course fee; can you invoice them for my payment?
Unfortunately, England Netball does not have the capacity for this service and would advise you to pay by personal cheque to reserve your place and reclaim the money from your employer/club.
Do I need to be affiliated to England Netball to attend a course?
No, however, it is highly recommended that you are affiliated to ensure you have the correct level of insurance cover.
Will I been given my certificate on the final day of the course?
Your certificate will be sent to you once all your paperwork (theory and practical) has been signed off and sent to 1st4sport (awarding body).
